Hey there, I'm Lisa.

I specialize in telling your story. I love capturing the big moments of your life -- a mother preparing for the birth of her child, or a high school senior ready to step into their new life. Just as important, however, are those little moments that pass by too quickly. Sitting down to play a game with a toddler or taking the time to hold a grandparent's hand are some of my favorite memories to capture for you.

That's my real signature, and I use it to show how committed I am to providing the highest-quality services for you and your family. I'm literally "signing-off" on every single image I produce.

My story

The world of art and design has long been a refuge for me. As a child I was constantly coloring and drawing, and by 13 I was creating custom vinyl graphics for my parents’ business. When it came time to pick a career path, however, I chose to enter the very uncreative, unartistic world of banking. I spent my twenties buying a house, getting married, and building a life; work at that time was simply a means to an end. I wasn’t unhappy, necessarily, I just found no true passion in it. I spent my free time crafting, crocheting, doing anything that allowed me to create.

Over the years, I did a few small graphic design projects for family and friends, stumbling through the software and watching countless hours of YouTube videos just to bring my ideas to life. Still, I loved every minute of it, and cannot describe the feeling of seeing my work printed out and used. There was such an incredible sense of gratification in seeing my work actually used. I decided to go back to school to learn proper design techniques and have been hooked ever since.

In 2018, I completed my degree in Graphic Communications – Print and Publishing, and certificates in Web and Mobile Design and Web Applications Development. I have found that the basic design principles extend across all forms of media; I favor crisp, clean, user-friendly design that keeps effective communication at the forefront. During my studies, I had the opportunity to study photography under seasoned industry professionals and learn classic technique that I've put into practice, while keeping up with the latest technology.

As I’ve expanded my business into natural-light photography, I’ve translated that crisp, clean aesthetic into a classic style that allows the subjects’ personalities to shine through. By focusing on simple composition, I pride myself on creating a comfortable photo session atmosphere that puts my clients at ease.

At the very heart of my business, however, is a great desire to use art to make people’s lives better. I keep these goals close to my heart: listen to my clients intently, work together to set the goals of the session, and leave them with something beautiful that will stand the test of time.
